ANAÏS NIN BOOK SERIES

The erotica of Anaïs Nin is a collection of novelettes that follows the sexual journey of multiple women and their discovery of female sensuality's contradictory nature - that of horror and beauty.

The "caress" is a symbol used throughout her short stories, existing in some instances as a desired gesture and others, unwelcome. Floating in a sea of honey, these book covers capture a menagerie of lusciously enrobed caresses to symbolize the sensuous complexity of the lovers in Anaïs' books.

Materials used were colored corn syrup, tiny rubber hands, foam core, and a hand-built glass enclosure. Mediums used were photography and Photoshop.
